| A fantastic experience, considering my caution being this to be my very first appointment with Dr. Drew Schafer and this office. He was extremely sensitive to my situation and preformed a root canal on this very same day. He explained the different options and scenarios and without pressuring me, allowed me to make the best decision. He and his assistant team were magnificent. He took his time, explaining the procedure as it was happening and was very thorough. If you are looking for a new dentist, Dr. Drew is the best in my opinion. | My dentist, whom I had been happy with for over 30 yrs just retired. At my first visit at Vecchio and Schafer everyone was very friendly and efficient. I should emphasize the “very” friendly. Big smiles and seemed genuinely happy to see me, even though I tend to be a crotchety pain-in-the-a. It was infectious. I think I was only rude once, maybe twice, and even then only a little -they stayed nice. (I have issues, think Jack Nicholson in the movie “As Good as it Gets” without the racism.) My previous dentist seemed to be keeping up with the times, but here they had cleaning equipment that was fast, efficient, thorough, and no scraping or discomfort. Even the way they applied fluoride was just a little different without the tickling of sensitive gums. No going to another room for x-ray, they did it right there where I was in the seat for cleaning. The hygienist was sweet, gentle good at answering questions and everything she did. | I needed a dental assessment and release to begin cancer treatment. I made a call to the office and they scheduled me for the next morning to complete a panoramic x-ray scan. Dr Paul read the scan immediately and my oncologist had the information in the afternoon. This practice is accommodating and has the equipment and expertise to take care of all patient needs. | Big SMILE. I called as a new patient, and got a next day appointment, I walked in with what I thought was a cracked tooth (and persistent dull Achiness.) It was not cracked. I expresses concerns about old mercury fillings. After exam, bit wings and a panoramic, I had 3 of 5 removed mercury fillings removed and replaced with ceramic the same day. The sensitivity is gone, and my Rheumatoid arthritis Achiness is better too. The fees with insurance were reasonable. Next week the other two mercury fillings will come out. Thanks, Dr. Schaffer. | I have been a patient of the Vecchio practice for nearly 40 years and for good reason. Let me tell you that they have always been there for me and have provided the best treatment and compassion. The staff is also very supportive and exhibits great teamwork. I have taken their service for granted but have always appreciated all that has been done for me at this practice. Even to this day, when the doctor hides his needle behind his back and brings it in for the shot it’s anybody’s guess as to when he’s going to get you. It’s usually pretty painless anyway. I can’t say it’s my idea of fun but I can always count on a great experience and I always feel much better leaving the office. Some of the staff has a lot of years working there and that also says a lot for the team effort and the camaraderie with the doctors. | I switched to Vecchio about a year and a half ago when my old dentist seemed to shut down his practice at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. I have been over the top happy with my dentist Dr. Drew Schaefer. He is a young professional and knows the latest technology to help with my dental needs (which are not much but none the less). | I never have to wait in the waiting room more than a few minutes for my appointment at this dental practice. The hygienists who clean my teeth have always been kind and gentle. One has been with the practice for more than 30 years - that really says a lot about how the dentists treat their staff and patients. After my most recent visit, the front office requested a pre-determination of benefits for additional dental work that was recommended, and that was done within one business day. The front staff is so friendly and welcoming - on the phone and in the office. I've had major dental work done by Dr. Vecchio and he always shows concern for my apprehension about needles and the dental drill, stopping periodically to make sure I'm comfortable (as comfortable as one can be in a dental chair!) and not experiencing any pain. | I love the idea of making your appointment on their website. Everybody there is super nice. They don't preach to you about what you should or shouldn't do. (They already know that you know) They also don't force you to come back, that make that up to you. They make you feel comfortable and they see if you are nervous they do their best to comfort you. | I was able to get an appointment as a new patient within a week and then get a cavity filled and temporary crown placed within a 2-hour period; they were not in a hurry to rush me out the door. The price was more reasonable than I thought it would be. The staff was very personable and caring and really worked well together as a team. The office was very clean and bright. The only cons on my visit were that the shot to numb my gums also numbed half of my nose and took about 6-7 hours to wear off, and I've been getting food between my filled tooth and capped tooth since the work was done. The crown may resolve that, though. I plan to come back and have already recommended them to friends and family. SVA |

| I rarely fill out review forms, but the care from Dr. Schafer and his team was so exceptional that I feel I have to share. Early Thursday morning I came into Dr. Schafer with a severe toothache. The doctor quickly comforted me and reassured me that they would figure it out. He was agile in his diagnosis and quickly notified me that I would need a root canal and need to see a specialist. I figured this would lead to another few weeks of agonizing pain, but instead he was able to get me in to see the specialist that SAME MORNING (I was shocked with the flexibility and care). Meeting with the Dr. Carol, the Endodontist, I was slightly upset that I needed a root canal, but she made me feel better when she told me how "HOT" my tooth was (Hey her words not mine). Although she did not have time to perform the full procedure that morning she offered to work through their lunch if I could wait until noon. I’ve never felt pushed into a treatment and I’ve never felt uncomfortable which I think is really important when someone is working on your teeth. I have always felt like I was an equal and surprisingly “enjoy” coming here and trust them with any work I may need done. | The receptionist greeted me upon my arrival. I was taken in shortly after signing in and actually before my actual appointment time. The hygienist was so sweet, caring and gentle. My teeth were cleaned, polished and then had fluoride paint. This was first time for me to try the paint over the wash type and liked it. Dr. Paul Vecchio then came and checked over my mouth and asked about my family. Everyone working here has and is knowledgeable and so nice. My regular dentist would not fit me in same day but this practice did and because of that and their caring and superior dental care I switched practices. | Vecchio dentistry does an excellent job with health care of the mouth. The technology is amazing, as digital imaging of the teeth are available instantaneously after shooting the x-rays. The patient can view right along with the Dentist. This old guy can become rather embarrassed when having your mouth open in awkward positions (or indigestion), but the Oral Hygienist takes it all in stride & allows you to feel as comfortable as possible. I'm still a white-knuckle armrest gripper, but I assure you this Dentist Office is a pain-free zone. Duane |

| It's rare that one enjoys a dental visit, but I can honestly say that I do, thanks entirely to the Vecchio team! A patient is always greeted warmly at the check-in. There is never a waiting period. As you walk to the exam room, everyone says "hi". The cleaning is so gentle I could fall asleep! Dr. Paul is amazing! His Dad taught him well! And that's the reason we continue to drive from Medina to take advantage of their services. I noticed on my recent visit that I could make my 6 month checkup appt while in the exam room. My daughter Candice Holyko also sees him, and now my 4 year old granddaughter is going to him and she loves going! That, in itself, says a lot!
