| I had my initial appointment with Dr J yesterday and it went great! My daughters are patients and I was impressed, so figured why not take all of our care to one place. It was the most thorough new patient appointment I have ever had! The amount of time and care for what felt like each tooth, was something I hadn’t experienced before. I felt like I was fully informed. There were some recommendations for more low approach fixes which I like vs invasive right away. The staff also fully supports children in the office (which is nice for a mom juggling kids). It also helps to teach my younger daughter the importance of dental care and feeling confident rather than scared. Overall such a great experience every time we enter the office! | This is my daughter’s second visit to the office. My sweet baby girl was in on her 4th birthday for a routine cleaning! They treated her like a princess and made sure to focus on her birthday to keep her comfortable. Even giving her an extra special prize at the end. They did find a “sugar bug” on one tooth so we will be utilizing some gas for the procedure in a few weeks! I am confident that Dr Johansen can do what he needs to do. Even at the age of 4 I feel like the staff will be able to take care of her like a pediatric dentist would! Such a great experience. Kelsey |

| This week I had a regular dental appointment, and the woman who cleaned my teeth was the best technician I have ever had for that task! She accomplished her tasks with no discomfort to me, attended to a few problem areas that had built up while we were all waiting out the Covid-related delays in unnecessary group activities (like sitting in crowded waiting rooms for non-pressing dental checks), and was a good companion with whom to share the necessary time in the close quarters. | First appointment with Dr. Johansen was a thorough examination of my gums, teeth, jaw movement and finally x-rays. Dr. Johansen puts one at ease and is gentle while performing the oral exam - if that's a concern. He is professional and kind of on the humorous side. I can see where children would appreciate his humor. His staff is also well trained and eager to answer any questions one might have. My next appointment is in two weeks for the teeth cleaning and we'll see how that goes. At this point I'm not worried. Sal |

I’ve also had to have a chipped tooth repaired by Dr. Johansen, a tooth that’s caused me issue after issue since college. The office staff, hygienists, Jackie and Lisa, and doctor knew about an upcoming family addition and were celebrating with me. When I recently had my teethed cleaned Jackie was the tech that did it. Is there any way to inform your patients about a change like that when your office sends out the reminders for cleaning appointments? | This is a true "person-centered" practice, where all staff and clinicians work toward the patient's needs. The office staff are very professional and consistently answer questions and provide opportunities for treatment, even when it is an emergency. Dr. J and his professional assistants are knowledgeable and work to ensure a patient's comfort in all procedures. Most important they ensure that the person's needs are primary and never give the impression of "hurry along". The person is always at the center of their care. Evelyn C |
